There is no doubt that there are plenty of FPS games for the Linux OS, but that is not to say that there are some out there that are good and have not yet been discovered. A game that does not get the credit that it deserves is certainly Enemy Territory. In terms of the quality of the game play, this offers one of the most realistic FPS experiences available at the moment.

The Enemy Territory game is based on five different classes. The great thing is that the free game is not limited to one map, but incorporates six instead. Of course, like many other modding communities, there are lots more maps available online. Those that enjoyed the days of Counter-Strike will certainly enjoy this too. Remember how you die and stay dead for the whole round? This is what happens with Enemy Territory, which can frustrate some.

The graphics are not up to today’s technology, but they are certainly good. When increasing resolution and with a high quality computer, the graphics and sound are actually quite good. The only thing that can be said is that throughout the Enemy Territory community, many people seem to be asking about why the sound does not work, which seems to be a common problem. All in all a great FPS game, one of the best around.
