Battle for Wesnoth has been described as one of the best games available right now on much more than one occasion. The great thing about the Battle for Wesnoth game is that it has a great mix of both strategy and fantasy at the same time, which makes for extremely intriguing game play for the most part. Its popularity has quickly grown to a point where it is not just available on Linux, but also Windows, Mac OS X and FreeBSD among many others.

Battle for Wesnoth was the brain child of David White and he used some Sega classics to get inspiration for the game. This is one of those games that is fun, but at the same time, players will not likely spend hours on end, as the game is simply not complicated enough to keep people intrigued in the long run.
